Y7 trip to Spain - further update from Mrs Morgan
We had the hottest day so far on day 3,perfect for the beach! We went to the city of Santander, saw a huge cruise ship, did a bit of shopping and had a walk around the city seeing the Cathedral then finding a fun park to play in with a carousel!
We then went to the beach in Santander and the students loved it. They were sensible in the sea, and were braved going in when the water was freezing. Some you couldn't get out of the water they were loving it that much. Some showed off their excellent castle building skills and there were also sprints and long distance races on the beach.
In the evening we went out to a restaurant in the town and tried out some typical Spanish tapas food. Again the students behaved impeccable whilst there. The hotel owner commented on our sweet and lovely our students are.
Now it's sadly come to our last day but still lots more fun to be had before we leave, starting with our trip to the caves and then visit to town of Comillas and guided tour of el capicho de Gaudi.
Our flight is due back at 11:30pm tonight and fingers crossed if no delays should be back at school at 2am. ... See MoreSee Less

Y7 Spain trip - day 2 update from Mrs Morgan
We had a brilliant day yesterday with every student making us very proud by how they behaved and got involved with everything.
First we went to the mountain range and went up on one of the tallest cable car rides. There were a few students and staff nervous to go on it but they faced their fears and went up and felt so pleased they did to enjoy the spectacular views from the top.
We were so proud of all the students and they had a great time. Then we visited a town in the mountains where we practised skimming stones in the stream, walked the pretty streets and had a huge ice cream. The students were lovely and polite in the shop and tried really hard with speaking in Spanish.
Finally we stopped off at a fishing village and had a stroll around, saw the castle and played in the park.
Another hugely successful day. Day 3 we are off to the beach and the weather is gorgeous! ... See MoreSee Less
